More ghost sign pics from around Melbourne

While doing some digital housecleaning today, I realised that there are quite a few photos of signs that I haven't got around to posting yet. So here they are:

Sydney Road, Coburg

Also Sydney Road, Coburg

Ghost sign expert Sam Roberts and the Coburg ghost sign
(this was during our Melbourne sign tour)

Carlton: advertises a former school

North Fitzroy

Footscray

Kensington

Footscray, banks of the river

Flemington

South Melbourne (had taken a pic of this one previously, but at night)

As above

North Melbourne

North Melbourne - back lane

Elizabeth Street, city - long-time motorcycle sales district

City - literally a ghost sign (it's the Victorian Spiritualist Union hq)
and not a ghost sign (they still reside there)

City - had snapped this one before, but from a distance due to building works

City

City - Russell Street

City - Flinders Street. Just a cobalt blue hint of what used to be there.

North Melbourne

Fitzroy

Carlton - Robur Tea sign

Kensington - river bank

One of the famous MacRobertson Sweets complex of 13 buildings in Fitzroy that used to be known as 'White City': they were painted white and all the thousands of employees wore white. The complex was topped by a huge neon sign. Founder and expert marketer Macpherson Robertson used to get around in white in a carriage pulled by two white horses. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macpherson_Robertson

Now where was that?
